Sunday morning at our house.

It's the first Sunday morning of Winter, and here in Alice Springs it is a very wintery sort of day. I've spent the latter part of the week feeling rather miserable with a head cold - dizzy, stuffy, drippy, fevery and headachy. Both Thursday and Friday I tried to go to work but came home both days, defeated. Sometimes you just have to give in - after all, that's what sick days are there for - and I'm very fortunate to be in a position where I can have a real sick day (thinking of all the self-employed peeps and mums/parents out there, mainly).

I used my lounge time to re-watch one of my favourite TV series, Veronica Mars. That sassy, smart-mouthed, inquisitive teen detective played by Kristen Bell makes for good lazy day viewing.

This weekend has been the hibernating sort, with soup, cups of tea and pottering around the house high on the agenda. The first thing I did when I started feeling human again was bake chocolate chip cookies. The garden is growing really well and our cos lettuces are just about ready to eat.

I'm listening to One Africa 'A Journey of Hope' and reading blogs and wearing my new pyjamas and long chunky knit cardigan and thinking about studying for my upcoming Legal Interpretation exam. One thing that caught my eye was the Polli sale, and I just had to purchase a couple of lovely little things.

I think I'll stay in my pyjamas for a while longer, enjoy another cup of tea and do some more pottering. How about you?
