Stills: A weekly collection {favourite things}
This week I'm having another go at a 'Stills' post, and I gave myself the theme of 'favourite things'. It was good to have something to focus on following studying for my Legal Interpretation exam, and to distract me from our unexpected bad surprise on Friday.
1. Leather pouf. This was a gift from my partner from my favourite store in Adelaide, bauhaus. The stitching on the other side is splitting a bit, and for some reason my dogs love to lick it.
2. Coffee machine. It's great to be able to make a good strong latte whilst still in my pyjamas. It's s Sunbeam and I love it.
3. My sister gives the most beautiful gifts. These handmade porcelain cups are by Samantha Robinson, bought from her Alexandria studio.
4. I ordered this Polli necklace online a couple of weeks ago (after seeing their sale on Instagram), and the universe-slash-Australia Post chose to have it delivered on the day of my exam. A nice surprise to come home to!
5. New specs are always a good thing. Especially so that I can see good.
6. Books, books, books. My bookshelves are arranged with fiction in alphabetical order and non-fiction in order of topic/theme.
7. Morning sun on the kitchen window sill. The sake jug and little cups were also a gift from my sister, and the bicycle was a gift as well.
8. Basket, given to me by Penan women from Long Napir in the Sarawak highlands. It's been made to fit a water bottle in it.

ReplyDeleteLove those Samantha Robinson cups too, I went to her shop in Seminyak, Bali and treated myself to a floral mug. It's my favourite to tea from by far.

Thanks for your lovely comment, Em! I am very lucky - my sister also gave me a tall porcelain votive by Samantha R- with a gorgeous floral design in green.

I'm obsessed with Samantha Robinson's work and am officially jealous of your cups. I love your photos this week (as always really!), especially getting to see a little bit of your beautiful home.
