Lately: A little trip away and back home again.

A few exciting changes left me with a little pocket of time to pop down to visit my sister and her little family. My mum was also visiting so my four-and-a-half month old niece was smothered with kisses and cuddles and had a captive audience for all her new tricks. It also gave my sister the chance to jump on a horse for a couple of hours of trail riding in the wintry countryside near Whittlesea. When I returned home we did a bit of a lot of furniture rearranging and now all our books are in the living/dining area.

It's a time of change: of scenery, of surroundings and of season with spring arriving here in Central Australia whilst I was away.

Oh - and I'm super excited that Prue has nominated me for a Liebster Award! A what, you say? Well, check back here soon and find out. In the meantime, check out Prue's Liebster Award-winning post of fun!

  1. Some good images, Emma. Was the green an assault after the red of the centre? I know when we moved after 11 years in cA, that the green of this part of NSW was almost rude in its intensity. I look back at images from home (Alice Springs is kinda sorta still home) and I yearn for the red against the blue.

    1. Oh, it sure was - as was the traffic. It's hard to fathom how so many people could be needing to drive all in the one direction at the same time - and that's after only 18 months in Central Australia! As much as I enjoyed the southern winter chill (and sideways hail!!), coming back home to the deep blue sky is always a treat.
